NSSGA Kicks Off Annual Convention

ST. LOUIS – More than 600 aggregates industry leaders have convened in St. Louis for the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) 2025 Annual Convention. This year’s meeting comes as the association marks its 25th anniversary.

“Thank you all for joining us this week and for your support of our great industry through NSSGA,” said NSSGA Chair Jim Nickolas. “The past year has been a tremendous success. We saw unprecedented growth in our association’s membership, our events attracted industry leaders and new professionals alike and we continued to build strong relationships with members of Congress, administration officials and other stakeholders.”

The Annual Convention, taking place March 23-26, includes committee meetings, breakouts and networking events. The first general session, featuring Dr. Helena Boschi, took place the morning of March 24. Dr. Boschi is an internationally recognized psychologist and neuroscientist specializing in the application of brain science to the workplace. A second general session on March 25 will feature the return of the popular CEO roundtable.

Attendees will have the opportunity to attend “Politics is Local – Becoming an Effective Grassroots Advocate” and a tour of Falling Springs Quarry in Dupo, Illinois. Events for Young Leaders and updates from the NSSGA Government and Regulatory Affairs team will also take place. The NSSGA Annual Board and Membership Meeting will convene on the morning of March 26 with a keynote speech from football legend Archie Manning.

“I want to thank everyone for attending the meeting this week,” said interim NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley. “Active engagement in these meetings supports our association’s work all year round.”

This year marks the 25th anniversary of NSSGA’s founding. In 2000, the boards of the National Stone Association (NSA) and the National Aggregates Association (NAA) merged to serve as a single association representing the construction aggregates industry. In celebration of this significant milestone, NSSGA has planned commemorative resources, promotions and branding initiatives for every association event, beginning with the Annual Convention.

Alongside the NSSGA Annual Convention, the AGG1 Academy and Expo will take place March 25-27. This event will provide access to exhibitors and 60 industry-focused programming sessions in four educational tracks. This show is held along with the World of Asphalt, which is produced by the National Asphalt Paving Association and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

NSSGA members will next convene for official association business in Washington D.C. during the Legislative & Policy Forum, Sept. 16-19. For more information on NSSGA meetings and events, please visit www.nssga.org.
