Environmental Excellence Award Winners Announced at 2021 LPF
ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) today announced the recipients of the Environmental Excellence Awards, which recognizes operations that actively demonstrate a commitment to the exemplary use of environmental controls and systems. NSSGA awarded a total of nine Gold, 10 Silver and 63 Bronze Awards.
“Our industry could not operate without being good environmental stewards of our natural resources. We congratulate those who strive for environmental excellence in their organizations by announcing the winners of our Environmental Awards of Excellence,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michael Johnson. “Despite the challenges of the past year, NSSGA’s members continue to raise the bar with their commitment and engagement to environmental issues for our industry.”
NSSGA’s Gold Environmental Excellence Awards are recognized below as well as in a ceremony during NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum being held Sept. 27-29. The top-scoring Gold award winner was revealed on stage during the ceremony, as Hanson Aggregates Harding Street Quarry of Lehigh Hanson, Inc. was recognized as the Platinum Award winner for Environmental Excellence.
