NSSGA Thanks House T&I for Important First Hearing

ALEXANDRIA, VA –The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Michele Stanley issued the following statement, as the House T&I Committee will hold its first hearing of the new Congress focusing on our nation’s transportation infrastructure challenges and the supply chain. NSSGA also submitted a letter in support ahead of the hearing.

 

NSSGA Files Legal Challenge to Premature and Overreaching WOTUS Rule

ALEXANDRIA, VA –The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association joined a coalition representing aggregates producers, farmers, home builders and others representing a broad swath of the U.S. economy to file a complaint in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas, Galveston Division on Jan. 18.  NSSGA’s President and CEO Michael Johnson issued the following statement:

EPA Releases Final WOTUS Rule in Advance of SCOTUS Decision, Adding to Confusion

ALEXANDRIA, VA –The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s President and CEO Michael Johnson issued the following statement after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) released their final Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. In April, NSSGA joined the American Road & Transportation Builders Association for an amicus brief in the Sackett v.

NSSGA Hosts 2022 Legislative & Policy Forum

WASHINGTON – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) hosted its annual Legislative & Policy Forum (LPF) in Washington D.C. Sept. 20-23 at the Capitol Hill Hyatt Regency. With over 300 attendees, NSSGA conducted committee meetings, hosted dynamic general sessions and held its Hill Day for members to advocate for the industry. 

 

2022 Environmental Excellence Award Winners Announced

WASHINGTON – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) today announced the recipients of the Environmental Excellence Awards and the 2022 winner of the Environmental Leadership Award. The Excellence Awards recognize operations that actively demonstrate a commitment to the exemplary use of environmental controls and systems. NSSGA announced there were a total of 12 Gold winners, 10 Silver winners and 88 Bronze winners.    

 

NSSGA’s Safety Award Recipients Announced

WASHINGTON – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) this morning announced the winners of the Safety Excellence Awards, the Louis Griesemer Sterling Safety Awards and the James M. Christie Safety and Health Professional of the Year Award. 

 

NSSGA Announces Community Relations Excellence Award Winners

WASHINGTON – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) today announced the recipients of the NSSGA Community Relations Excellence Awards. The Community Relations Excellence Awards recognize producers’ achievements through the involvement in their community to enhance the public’s perception of their business, their facility and our industry. This year, NSSGA recognized a total of eight Gold, eight Silver and 44 Bronze winners.
