Could employers execute pre-employment medical surveillance or assignment before a worker is placed into a jobsite?

Promoting Opioid Hazard Awareness for Stone, Sand and Gravel Workers

Miners are on the front line of the nation's opioid crisis. More than six in 10 injured workers receive an opioid prescription, and extraction workers - including stone, sand and gravel workers - have the highest rate of opioid overdose death. The University of Massachusetts Lowell's Center for the Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace created a free opioid awareness training program tailored to the stone, sand, and gravel industry and MSHA Part 46 annual refresher training.
